1. Definitions

“Company”, “We”, “Us”, “Our” means LumeHaus Projects.

“Client”, “You”, “Your” means the person or entity engaging LumeHaus Projects.

“Works” means the construction, renovation or conversion services outlined in your quotation.

2. QBCC Compliance

All work complies with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991, Domestic Building Contracts Act 2000 (QLD), Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.

3. Scope of Works

The Works include only what is written in the accepted quote or contract. Anything not stated is excluded unless agreed in writing.

4. Price & Payments

  • Contract price is as stated in the accepted quotation/contract.
  • Deposits follow QBCC limits (max 10% under $20k, max 5% over $20k).
  • Progress payments occur at the milestones in your contract.
  • Late payments may pause work until resolved.

5. Variations

All variations must be approved in writing before work proceeds. Variations may change the price, timeframe or materials.

6. Timeframes & Delays

Timeframes provided are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, suppliers, subcontractors, approvals or hidden site conditions.

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide safe access to the site.
  • Keep pets, vehicles and belongings clear of work areas.
  • Provide accurate information and approvals before work starts.

8. Hidden Conditions

If asbestos, structural damage or non-compliant wiring is found, additional work will be quoted separately.

9. Warranties

Work is covered under QBCC statutory warranty periods for structural and non-structural defects.

10. Insurance

Where required, QBCC Home Warranty Insurance will be issued. We also maintain appropriate public liability cover.

11. Termination

Contracts may be terminated if a serious breach is not rectified after written notice.

12. Consumer Law

These Terms do not override your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
